Parvana's mother went to prison to see her husband even though it was unlikely to release him because she wants see how he is doing. If I was in Parvana's mom situation I would do what ever I can to get him out.

Parvana's mother stopped taking care of the family because her husband was in prison and without her husband she wouldn't be able to go outside. I think this made Parvana feel horrible because without her father she would be unloved. She will feel unloved because her mother always trusted Nooria more then her but her father thrusted her more then her mother.
